Ahh September and I finally have some progress!....that is AFTER I paid Bret Slaton to dig the rest of the holes and pour the concrete!

So, today Eli and I went to Lowes and bought the frame for the floor joist (yea).
They have been roughly setup and are ready to be cut and nailed tomorrow morning (See pictures below). I hope to finish this and start on the joist tomorrow.

And another picture...

And here is one those in-between-projects finished. It is a solar powered clothes dryer!

For the last week we have defined the boundaries of the shop and begun digging holes for the footers. After the footers were dug, we then leveled and aligned forms for the first two slabs and poured them.

My mom sent a few more pictures of the lumber we cut down:

The trees come down.

My dad and I cut down three pine trees. We used his new sawmill to cut about 72 studs, several 2x4x16's, and 1x6's. The lumber will take about 3 months to dry. In the mean time, the foundation of the shop will be built with 2x6 boards that used to be part of my deck. I'll also have to take my old boat trailer and convert into a utility trailer.
